This must also be answered with yes if a healthcare institution is involved in the research in one of the following ways: (1) one or more of the healthcare institution’s staff members are involved in the research as a client or provider/party carrying out the study, (2) the research is conducted within the walls of the institution and, given the nature of the research, would normally not be conducted outside the walls of the institution, or (3) patients/clients of the institution participate in the research study (in the capacity of medical treatment).
