Note that you may always contact your study/academic advisor if you would like to discuss your study progress and possible struggles, and together look for any possible means of support. *If you qualify for an exemption based on excusable reasons, this does not automatically mean that you are allowed to take longer than 12 months to complete your pre-master programme. An exemption only ensures that you will not lose your residence permit in the following academic year, provided that you keep an active registration for the pre-master programme in that following academic year. However, other (education) rules may apply in some programmes or faculties, that limit the maximum duration of your pre-master programme (sometimes to 6 or 12 months). These rules may result in not being able to continue your pre-master programme in the following academic year, despite having received a MoMi exemption. The study/academic advisor of your programme can inform you about this.
